Entry Rules and Regulations
We encourage the handing out of candy and giveaways provided they are not thrown. Please advise the Rotary Club at check-in as to your intentions and if help is needed passing out your products.
- All entries, including political entries, must
follow the theme set by the Parade Committee, Celebrate our past....image
our future.
- Appropriate music or sound may be used on the
float, no air horns or excessive load noises. Please note: almost
all entries have sound!
- Entry positioning in the parade shall be determined
by the Parade Committee and will be released to your unit at check-in
on parade day.
- Lettering should not be over eight (8")
inches in height unlesss a company logo is incorporated in the
design of the float
- Animal entries must provide their own accompanying
clean-up crew(s).
- It is recommended that pulling vehicles are one
of the following types: pickup track or small tractor. This provides
for improved visibility and recognition for your entry. Other
types of pulling vehicles must have special approval for the Parade
Committee
- No person(s) will be allowed to walk along side
or with the entry as it travels the parade route, unless those
persons are appropriately costume part of the unit. This does
not apply to marching units.
- Entries must be less than 12 1/2 feet in height.
- All motorcycles must be street legal.
- All minors (under age 18) riding bicycles, or
using skateboards or roller blades must wear helmets and appropriate
safety equipment.
- Inappropriate behavior/reckless driving will
not be tolerated by motor vehicles
- There will be no pausing or stopping of entries
along the parade route. There will be no stopping for performances.
For the safety of all the participants in the parade, it is important
to maintain the proper spacing between entries along the parade
route.
- No Pedaling allowed during the parade.
- No vans or vehicles may follow a float in the parade unless
appropiatly decorated with the theme and approved in advance.
